How to fill Vietnam's pre-arrival declaration, field by field

The Immigration Department's "pre-arrival information" form is required even if you hold a visa. This page explains the passport and visa sections field by field in the order the site shows them and what the common errors mean; with the AutoePass extension installed, both sections are filled from your ePass profile card and the visa document in your wallet.

Frequently asked questions
01Do I still need the declaration if I have an e-visa?
Yes. The declaration is not a visa but a pre-arrival registration; it is free, produces a QR code, and is shown together with the visa at immigration.
02Is it required for visa-free entry too?
Yes. Anyone entering on a foreign passport through an airport where the scheme applies must submit it.
03The visa number keeps getting rejected. Why?
Enter only the digits (9 of them), without the "/EV" suffix and without spaces.
04How do I enter the phone number?
Choose the country code in its own box and enter only the national number in the number box. For a Chinese mobile, choose +86 and enter the 11 digits.
05Will AutoePass submit for me?
No. It only fills the fields; the CAPTCHA, the check and the submission are yours.
